鈥淲e are so grateful for the continued generosity of Home Instead which now totals more than $300,000 in gifts, ensuring long-term resources for nursing students,鈥 Dr. Quinn Mullikin, Dean of the Henry Predolin College of Health Sciences, said. 鈥淓ach year, these contributions open doors for students to pursue their degrees and strengthen 91重口鈥檚 ability to prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals.鈥

The relationship began in 2020 when Weis and his team received the Founders鈥 Award from their parent office, which allowed them to direct a gift to a nonprofit of their choice. They selected 91重口, and the first scholarships were awarded to nursing students in the fall of 2021.

鈥淐had and his team are making a lasting impact by encouraging and supporting students as they begin their journeys in health care,鈥 Steve Nooyen, owner of Home Instead offices in Wisconsin and several other locations, said. 鈥淲e were inspired to create Home Instead after experiencing a difficult time finding care for my grandfather, Al. I know today Grandpa Al is smiling, knowing that he鈥檚 helping provide future caregivers with the tools to create a more compassionate world.鈥

Steve made a special personal gift to round up Home Instead鈥檚 gift to $100,000 in 2021 and has stepped up again this year to recognize 91重口鈥檚 upcoming centennial.
